Seasonal Camp Counselor (6/10 - 8/23)

Job Commitment:

Join our Camp Swickleputt as a counselor and help ensure a safe and fun environment for children ages 5 – 11 as they move through various activities (Sports, Crafts, Dining). This is not a sports instructing role but an important support role for sports. You may be leading or supporting craft time and dining time. You will be monitoring campers at a time for safety and participation and reporting any issues to the Recreation Director or Instructor in a timely fashion.

 

Time Commitment:

You must be available from June 10th through August 23, Monday through Friday from 8:30 – 2:30 (final schedule will be provided within these hours). This role will require about 30 hours per week. Must be available for Orientation and CPR certification on Saturday, May 11th from 1-5PM. Pay is $12/hr plus resort perks, including paid training.

Maintenance Assistant (Wilmington)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our resort.

 

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall functionality and cleanliness of our resort. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, grounds, and equipment. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work collaboratively with other team members to uphold our high standards of service.

 

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry work.

- Assist with landscaping duties, including maintaining outdoor spaces.

- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any maintenance issues promptly.

- Respond to guest requests relating to maintenance concerns in a professional and timely manner.

- Participate in preventive maintenance activities to ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities.

- Support the team in maintaining an inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.

- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments to address maintenance-related requirements.

 

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.

- Solid knowledge of general maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.

- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely.

- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

- Aptitude for learning new maintenance techniques and procedures.

 

Salary:

The starting salary for the Maintenance Assistant position at our resort in Wilmington, North Carolina, will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Kitchen Staff Openings (Wilmington)

Job Title: Kitchen Cooks


Beau Rivage Golf Resort in South Wilmington is currently seeking experienced cooks to join our team in providing great food and service at our Signature 19th Hole, The Veranda Bar & Grill. We serve a wide variety of customers ranging from club and resort members and community residents to hotel/event guests and Wilmington locals. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we serve casual comfort food and traditional pub fare in a laid-back atmosphere.

Kitchen roles include maintaining high levels of quality, service, presentation and cleanliness when it comes to food-service. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating great food! Specific functions and duties include prep of menu items according to recipes, plating presentations and practicing sanitary and safe food handling at all times.

Starting pay ($14-16/hour) is dependent on kitchen experience. Resort and complimentary golf perks are also part of staff compensation. Health Insurance benefits available for Full Time employees.

Applicant must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule. ServSafe® certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
