2. GIVING TO CHARITY STRENGTHENS PERSONAL VALUES
Why we give to charity – a sense of social conscience is probably the most widely-given reason to donate to charity. Having the energy to enhance the lives of others is, to numerous people, a privilege, and one that accompanies a sense of obligation. Acting on these powerful feelings of responsibility is a superb solution to reinforce our values. We feel just like we’re living in a way that’s true to our own ethical beliefs.

Starting a tradition of donating to charity with your children is simple – try creating a family group donation box. Anyone can add to and nominate a family group charity every year. Involve the children in choosing the causes to support.
